 Overview

The Buying Committee page allows you to define and manage personas that represent different roles and decision-makers within target companies. These personas are used throughout the platform, particularly in Contact Discovery lookup rules, to identify and gather the right contacts based on job titles, seniority levels, and departments.

 What are Personas?

Personas are buyer profiles that define specific roles within a company's buying committee. Each persona contains:

- Job Titles: Specific roles to search for (e.g., "Digital Marketing", "Growth Manager")

- Seniorities: Level indicators (e.g., Director, Senior, Manager, Head)

- Departments: Organizational units (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Engineering)

These personas serve as templates for Contact Discovery, determining which contacts will be found and added to your database when lookup rules are triggered.

 Viewing Personas

The Buying Committee page displays all your personas in a table format with the following information:

PERSONA NAME: The identifier for the buying committee role

CONTACTS GATHERED: Total number of contacts collected matching this persona

COMPANIES PROSPECTED: Number of unique companies from which contacts have been gathered

 Persona Details

Click on any persona row to expand and view its configuration:

- Job Titles: View all included and excluded job titles

- Seniorities: See which seniority levels are targeted

- Departments: Review department filters

Exclusions are marked with a minus sign (e.g., "- product Manager") indicating titles to avoid when searching.

 Relationship with Contact Discovery

Personas defined on the Buying Committee page are directly used in Contact Discovery lookup rules. When you create a Contact Lookup Rule, you select which personas to search for. The system then uses these persona definitions to find matching contacts at visitor companies.

 Managing Personas

Personas can be both viewed and edited after creation. Click on a persona to expand its details, then use the edit functions to modify job titles, seniorities, or departments as your targeting needs evolve.

 Understanding the Metrics

Contacts Gathered represents the cumulative total of all contacts discovered across all companies that match this persona's criteria. This number grows as Contact Discovery rules execute.

Companies Prospected shows how many distinct organizations have been searched for this persona. This helps you understand the reach and coverage of your prospecting efforts.

 Search and Sort

Use the search bar to quickly find specific personas, and the Sort button to organize personas by name, contacts gathered, or companies prospected.
