Allowing Sound Notifications for New Messages
Explore how to enable sound notifications for new messages in the application
1. Introduction
In Signals, you can get notified via audio notification when there are new messages or chats. Due to strict permissions in most browsers, you must first grant Signals permission to send you sound notifications in your browser settings.
2. For Chrome and Brave:
If you're using Chrome or Brave, open Signals. Click the lock icon in the URL bar next to where it says "app.getsignals.ai
In the menu that appears, click "Site Settings."
3. Click "Allow" under Sound
On the settings page, find the permissions for Sound and make sure to click the dropdown and select
"Allow."
4. For Safari:
If you're using Safari, open Signals. Click "Safari" in the top menu and then click "Settings for app.getsignals.ai"
5. Allow Auto-Play
In the menu that appears below the URL bar, select "Allow All Auto-Play" in the dropdown beside Auto-Play.
6. For Firefox:
For Firefox: In the Firefox URL bar, click the Settings/Autoplay icons next to where it says "app.getsignals.ai"
7. Allow Auto Play
In the menu that appears, select "Allow Audio and Video" in the drop-down.
8. For Edge:
For Edge, click the 3 dots in the top right of the browser menu bar, then navigate to "Settings."
On the settings page, click "Cookies and Site Permissions" in the menu on the left.
Scroll down until you find "Media auto-play" and click it to open your auto-play permissions
10. Click "Add"
Click the "Add" button to add a site to your permissions list, then enter "app.getsignals.ai" in the site field.
