HelpDocs

Overview 

The HelpDocs Integration allows you to connect your HelpDocs Knowledgebase in your FAQ bots as a FAQ source. 

Setup 

First, you need to create an API key in your HelpDocs settings. Navigate to your settings page in HelpDocs and select the tab "API" https://{{ YourSubDomain }}.helpdocs.io/app/settings?tab=api. 

Click "Create Key" in the top right corner. 

Find your newly created key in the list. Then click the three vertical dots button on the right of the key row. In the menu popup, select "Edit".

It will open a drawer on the right side of the screen. We recommend renaming the key to something like "Signals Key" to help you keep track of your keys. 

Copy the key to your clipboard.

Next, navigate to the Signals HelpDocs Integration page Settings->Org Settings->Integrations->Customer Support->HelpDocs.

Now that you're at the HelpDocs integration page, paste the key into the field inside the "API Settings" section. 

While you're in the HelpDocs integration page, turn on the integration and the Knowledgebase feature to use your HelpDocs. 

Remember to click "SAVE" before leaving the page.

Open the edit modal for the FAQ skill. Towards the bottom of the modal content, there is a section titled "FAQ Source". Select the "HelpDocs" option.

Then save and close the modal and you're all set! Now the bot will use your HelpDocs Knowledgebase to help visitors find helpful resources.
